the course of the year by a 25 % fall in share price. artnet AG´s rapid expansion over the past year astounds equally: its team grew from 55 permanent employees (plus 28 part-time and freelancers) to 93 and 34 respectively. In its balance sheet, artnet AG accounted losses of 50.7 million Euros, although bringing the company a broad tax exemption in regards to current profits. While the company faced bankruptcy from 2000 to 2004, its liquidity of 3.5 million Euros today seem to ensure its continued existence. The 70-year-old Hans Neuendorf still reigns over artnet and his business plan forecasts that artnet will grow by some 25% each year over the next two years.
